Jamf (JAMF) Stock Price: Why It Increased Today

  • Jamf Holding Corp (NASDAQ: JAMF) share price increased 0.71% today. This is why.

Jamf Holding Corp (NASDAQ: JAMF) share price increased 0.71% today. Investors are responding positively to Jamf’s launch of new features to help healthcare and IT teams protect patient data and optimize clinical access for their Apple fleet.

Jamf introduced a new Healthcare Listener workflow called App Refresh. App Refresh gives health systems deploying iPad and Apple TV a faster way to refresh app-specific content and prepare a device for the next patient. This automated workflow uninstalls and reinstalls managed apps and internal workbooks from bedside devices, all without requiring a full device reboot. Plus App Refresh improves the patient experience by removing all iOS and tvOS Setup Assistant prompts that follow device reset (Language, Region, Wi-Fi) and by setting the device to be ready for immediate use without any manual configuration. For IT admins, the entire upgrade workflow is shortened, the device stays online and is managed by IT admins in Jamf Pro, and they have visibility into the device throughout the process. For organizations that want to maintain a hard device reset between patients, Healthcare Listener will retain its current automatic device wipe capabilities, allowing flexibility for all environments.

The Jamf Parent app has been around for years as a way for parents and guardians to have limited management of their child’s school-issued iPad from their own personal device. With a new Jamf Parent setup in Jamf Pro, there is now a workflow that extends Jamf Parent to provide temporary wireless remote management capabilities of a patient’s hospital-provided device. And a parent or guardian can pair their personal device with the hospital-managed iPad through a QR code pairing process within the Jamf Parent app. Now, with the power of MDM, parents have the ability to limit patient apps, device functionality, and reset the device passcode. When Healthcare Listener or Jamf Reset remotely wipes the patient’s device, the Jamf Parent app session is automatically disconnected. This requires no IT work and ensures that primary devices can only perform management actions on hospital-owned devices while the patient is in the hospital. Great for pediatric care, behavioral health, and other settings, this functionality makes it simple and safe to customize Apple technology at the bedside to match the specific needs of each patient.

Single sign-on with Jamf Setup and Jamf Reset is a preview workflow (available for all Jamf Pro customers to try for free) designed to provide a simple and productive end-user experience for employees who use shared iOS and iPadOS devices. And the latest version of the Jamf Setup and Jamf Reset apps supports a wireless over-the-air workflow for shared device management and includes:

— Identity provider (IdP)-based network authentication in the cloud with Microsoft Azure

— Role-based provisioning and access control

— Improved device password management

— Cross-App Single Sign-On (SS0) to support iOS/iPadOS apps

— A soft reset logout workflow that does not require wiping the device

“Recent years have shown that mobile transformation is changing the healthcare landscape. Jamf powers the optimal digital experience for hospital providers, patients and families with the power of Apple. With the release of these new updates, healthcare providers can transform the patient experience at the bedside and ensure patient privacy data is secure, devices are properly managed, and endpoints are protected. ”.
