Joshua “Josh” P. Ward | News, Sports, Jobs

Joshua “Josh” P. Ward Joshua “Josh” P. Ward passed away on June 18, 2022 at the age of 47. He is survived by his loving parents, John and Shirley Ward; his brother John and his wife Theresa; brother Joe, brother Jim and his wife Chelsea; sister, Jennifer and her husband, Paul; nieces: Jordan, Alexi, Jessie and Maddie; and his nephew, Jack. Josh grew up in Fredonia, NY and graduated as a Registered Nurse from Jamestown Community College. Josh held numerous jobs over the years, most recently and favorite at 3HC – Home Health and Hospice Care, where he cared for and formed personal connections with each patient as if they were his own family member, and for that they were crazy about. Knowing Josh was adoring him. With a personality as big as his roaring laugh, every time you heard his name, you instantly smiled because you knew what would come next would make you smile back. Josh was an artist, a friend who would always have your back, he was protective, honest and direct, and a motivator for those who needed a boost. While most of us tend to stick to our small groups of friends, Josh was everyone’s friend and if he loved you, he wasn’t afraid to let you know. Whether it’s frequent visits to see your parents, watch your favorite sports with your friends, send humorous videos and text messages to your family throughout the day, or set aside time to check in and encourage the nieces and nephews in your lives, you would all this in the loudest and most impressive way that was unique to him. Josh will all miss you! Josh will be remembered at a private family service where his ashes will be scattered, along with the ashes of his beloved dog, Narco. If a public celebration of life is organized later, word will spread. If you would like to express sympathy for him, we know Josh would have wanted to help others, so we encourage donations to 3HC-Home Health and Hospice Care in Josh’s honor at www.3HC.org/donate.
