MLB Picks Today: Best Bets, Predictions, Odds, Combinations for Saturday, August 6

With a 17-game slate that includes two doubleheaders, it should be an exciting day for baseball. A great matchup to watch out for is the New York Yankees versus the St. Louis Cardinals, as they are coming off a big game that wrapped up on Friday. A big board today means there are some exciting bets to consider.

Here we’re going to keep track of the best MLB picks based on odds and lines at DraftKings Sportsbook for Saturday’s baseball action.

MLB predictions for Saturday, August 6

Philadelphia Phillies -1.5 vs. Nationals (-130)

Nationals starter Patrick Corbin is having one of the worst seasons of his career. When he has been on the mound, Washington has been terrible. Corbin is 4-15 with a 6.57 ERA this season, which is one of the worst for a guy with 100-plus innings pitched. I hope this Phillies lineup stays hot and wins big in this one.

Tampa Bay Rays -1.5 vs. Tigers (-145)

For a good portion of Friday’s game, it looked like the Rays would lose. His offense fought back and he used a high-scoring eighth inning to get the win. They’ll have their ace Shane McClanahan on the mound today and I don’t see much chance of the Tigers hitting him. Look for the Rays offense to come out hot and get a big win here.

Boston Red Sox ML vs Royals (-140)

Nathan Eovaldi hasn’t had the best season, but he has dealt with injuries. I hope to see him have a better performance today, as we saw in his last outing. Against the Astros, Eovaldi pitched 6.1 scoreless innings of baseball against one of the best hitting lineups in MLB. The Red Sox offense also looked good last night and I hope they stay hot against a bad Kansas City team.

Baltimore Orioles-Pittsburgh Pirates over 8.5 runs (-110)

The Orioles send Austin Both to the mound. He has pitched well for them this season, but could still allow a few runs in his 4-5 innings of work. JT Brubaker is on the mound for the Pirates and is coming off an extremely poor start. Both offenses were stale yesterday and I expect it to be a make-up game for both sides.
