Today’s Wordle Word of the Day #413 Answer and Clue, Saturday August 6

It’s been something like a musical summer for me. Last weekend, my children and I went to the Red Rocks Amphitheater outside of Denver, CO and saw Father John Misty perform with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. It was an incredible experience!

Last night, my brother and I went to The Shins here in town and watched them perform some of their best and most famous songs to a sold-out venue (although it’s a small enough venue that the show was quite big). intimate and very funny). ).

And in between all these musical adventures, I’m out here blasting Wordles every day. After all, one must keep one’s head above them. Let’s take a look at today’s.

Today’s Word #413 Clue and Answer

Beep bop boot: Spoilers ahead! Spoilers ahead! You have been warned!

The clue: One of these visits the town of Patience, CO on a TV show that returns for the second half of its second season in just four days.

And the answer is . . . .

I’m pretty sure I had the luckiest first guess other than getting it right this time, though I didn’t really notice when I was guessing. According to Wordle Bot, while shine normally it will reduce the remaining solutions to only 120, today it reduced them to only four. Nothing bad. (I checked and crane it would only have reduced that number to 21 despite its statistically superior chances).

My second guess—grout-which I assumed would eliminate some more common letters and vowels, it narrowed that number down to just 1, though I had no idea at the time. At this point, I couldn’t think of anything at all, so I just tried a word that I knew wouldn’t be correct, but might at least give me a clue or get something else green. I also wanted to try the ‘A’ and so I guessed. eniac and I was actually a bit surprised when the game accepted it.

What is a eniac you ask? Well, it’s the electronic numerical integrator and computer, the first “general purpose electrical programmable digital computer” according to Wikipedia. It was completed in 1945 and was primarily used to calculate artillery firing tables for the US Army Ballistic Research Laboratory. The more you know!

Once I clicked on the ‘A’ things pretty quickly. guess alien almost 100% sure it would be the correct answer, and it was!

Go see alien resident ASAP by the way. It’s one of the best shows on TV right now. Its star, Alan Tudyk, is genuinely cool and hilarious and has a great supporting cast. You can thank me later.
