FINTECH | CRYPTOCURRENCY
Have you seen what Quant (QNT) has done since I published an article about the cryptocurrency three weeks ago?
QNT is expected by many to continue rising and reach the $160 plateau soon. Although, just like any other prediction in any market, it is just speculation.
In case you missed my QNT article, here it is:
Here is the QNT BY Trading View chart:
Here is the previous month’s Coin Market Cap QNT to USD chart:
Quant (QNT) rallied strongly from its intraday low of $40 reached on June 13. The bears attempted to stop the upside move at $115, but the bulls aggressively bought the dip below the 20-day EMA of $103 on Jul 26. — Cointelegraph.
What makes QNT truly unique is that the maximum supply of this altcoin is 14,612,493. That’s almost 6 million less than Bitcoin (BTC).
Yeah, I know, comparing the two is like an “apples and oranges” analogy, and I apologize for that. However, looking solely at those metrics gives you an indication of your scarcity in the cryptocurrency market.
Similarly, the maximum supply of a coin figures heavily into the total value locked (TVL) formula, which can be used as the predictor of price-earnings (PE) ratio in stock investments.
“Total Value Locked (TVL), in the context of cryptocurrency, represents the sum of all assets deposited in decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols that earn rewards, interest, new coins and tokens, fixed income, etc. — the motley fool.
NOTE: “All investments involve risk, including the loss of the principal invested. Past performance of a security does not guarantee future results or success. —TD Ameritrade. The term “value” can be exchanged for stocks, cryptocurrencies, gold, or any medium you choose.
